Scholarship Competition
The Scholarship contest is open to all students in grade 12 or younger who are studying with an active member of the West Suburban, Salt Creek, Naperville Area, Joliet, or Waubonsee Valley Area chapters of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association. Prizes range form $50.00 to $200.00. The contest is generally held in April at Elmhurst College.
There are four divisions:
Elementary Division (tracks one and two): Grades 6 and younger
Junior Division: Grades 7,8,9
Senior Division: Grades 10,11,12
Students perform solo compositions from memory with time and repertoire
requirements based on their division and track.
Next Competition: Saturday, April 26th, 2008.
